Bobby Davis, age 86, of Forest City, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2023.

Bobby was born August 31, 1936 in Cleveland County to the late Everette Davis and Elizabeth Phillips Davis. He was a veteran of the Korean War while serving honorably in the US Air Force. Bobby worked as diesel mechanic for most his working years, having worked for Tar Heel Ford in Charlotte and most recently for Thompson Contractors in Rutherfordton. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and was presently attending Chase Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Davis, Jr.; grandson, Justin Ervin and sisters, Betty Conrad and Doris Benfield.

Those left to cherish fond memories include his wife of 39 years, Rachel Henson Davis; children, Dawn Davis of Charlotte, Debra Baxter of Forest City, Betty Yocum (Tony) of Maiden, Randy Ramsey (Sonia) of Salem, SC, Rhonda Miskowski (Rob) of Las Vegas, Nevada and Dawn Deck (John) of Rutherfordton, thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held February 1 at Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Scott Butler officiating. Military Honors were presented by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
