Boyce Wade Abernathy, age 66, of Forest City, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2025.

Boyce was born February 7, 1958 in Rutherford County to the late Chivous Wade Abernathy and Lucille Harrill Abernathy.

He was a graduate of R-S Central, class of 1976 and earned a bachelor's degree in agriculture from NC State University in 1982. Boyce worked as a sales representative for Bartlett Milling Company and later worked for Spindale Farm and Garden and Horns Farm and Garden. He was the past president of the Rutherford County Beekeepers Association. Boyce was a member of Floyd's Creek Baptist Church.

Boyce was survived by a host of cousins.

A memorial service was held February 8 at Floyd's Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Carnell officiating.
