Bryan Jerome Wilkerson, age 32

Bryan Jerome Wilkerson, age 32 of Spindale, went home to be with the Lord on February 9, 2016. He was born on July 12, 1983 in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky.

Bryan attended Isothermal Community College, and graduated with a degree as a Patient Care Technician from Anthem College, Atlanta, Georgia in 2014. Bryan also pursued a music career while in Atlanta writing and recording many songs including "Like I DO" which was produced by Maestro Lamont Maxwell, Executive producer of famed Atlanta recording group 112.

Bryan was a past member of New Bethel AME Zion youth choir, and loved singing for the Lord. Bryan was also a former Knight of Pythagoras at Unionville Lodge. Bryan never met a stranger and even in the darkest moments when asked how he was; Bryan would simply reply "I'm Good." Bryan loved people and in most cases would put the needs of others in front of his own.

Bryan was a former member of New Bethel AME Zion in Forest City, but as an adult attended Adullam Christian Ministries in Spindale.

He is survived by his parents, Jerome and Gaye Wilkerson of Spindale, two brothers, Omari (Shania) Wilkerson of Spindale, Chazaray (Amy) Jackson of Arden, NC, two grandmothers, Wanda Lynch of Spindale, Delores Maxwell of Orlando, FL, aunts, Danna (Leonard) Collins of Winter Garden, FL, Donna (Lewis) Dennis of Fayetteville, GA, uncle, Franklin (Kimberly) Lynch of Spindale, great-uncle, Russell (Leola) Lynch of Spindale, great-aunts, Linda (Robert Ray) Smith of Spindale, Diane (Chuck) Cooks of Spindale and a host of family and wonderful friends.

Bryan wanted to separately recognize his nieces, Alexandria and Zuri, and nephew, Damarion whom he loved "To the moon and back."

A memorial service was held at the Adullam Christian Ministries in Spindale with Reverend Jerome Wilkerson, Reverend Arrie Melvin, Reverend Ricky Wilkerson and Reverend Leroy Staley officiating.

The Padgett and King Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
