Calvin “Chip” Winfred Vickers, Jr., 50, of Forest City, passed away on Sunday, February 03, 2012. 

A native of Rutherford County, he was born on September 23, 1962, a son of the late Calvin Winfred Vickers, Sr., and Virginia Gowan Vickers. He was a retired construction worker.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Deretha Vickers. He is survived by two sons, Dustin Vickers and Josh Vickers, both of the home; one daughter, Stacy Walker of Forest City; three sisters, Debbie McIntyre of Forest City, Tia McKinney and Tessa Blake, both of Chesnee; one grandchild, Austin Walker.

A Celebration of Life Service was held at New Vision Baptist Church of Chesnee with the Rev. Belton Drake officiating.
