Carolyn Christine Epps Francis, age 85

Carolyn Christine Epps Francis, age 85, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2026.

Carolyn was born April 14, 1941 in McDowell County, NC to the late Barnie G. Epps and Gladys Burnette Epps. She graduated in 1959, with the last graduating class of Tri-High School. Carolyn worked for PPG industries and retired after 40 years of service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Christopher Edwin Francis and her brother, Barnie G. Epps, Jr.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 67 years, Charles Francis of Forest City, and a sister, Judy Latham (Gene) of Shelby.

The funeral was held October 17 at Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ernie Cole officiating.
