Carolyn Hardin Towery, age 68 of Spindale, died October 8, 2021.

Carolyn was born March 4, 1953, in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Samuel Ezra Hardin and Lola Ferguson Hardin. She worked at Spindale Mills and was a member of Victory Baptist Church, Ellenboro.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Leo Hardin, Marie McDaniel, Doris Williams, and Charles Hardin.

Survivors include son, Jeff Towery and wife Kristina of Rutherfordton, daughter, Jeannie Starnes and husband David of Forest City, sisters, Jo Keeter of Rock Hill, South Carolina, and Brenda Stott of Bostic, five grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held October 12, 2021, in The Padgett and King Chapel with Rev. Johnny McCarty officiating.
