Ceremony at Rumbling Bald Resort

A Veterans Day Program will be held Monday, Nov. 11 beginning at 9:30am at the Buffalo Cemetery-- 112 Mountains Blvd. (just passed Legend's Restaurant -- at Rumbling Bald Resort. The ceremony will be sponsored by the Town of Lake Lure and Rumbling Bald Resort.

Air Force Veteran Gary Wilson of Lake Lure will welcome the group and Veteran Duane Massman will present the laying of the wreath.

The Rutherford County Sheriff's Department Color Guard will present colors prior to the singing of the National Anthem by Kathy Fox.

Lake Lure Mayor Carol Pritchett will present opening remarks.

Rev. Everette Chapman, pastor of Fairfield Mountains Chapel, will present the innovation.

Wilson will present a tribute to veterans and Navy Veteran Randy Synder will recognize veterans from the area who have passed away.

Closing remarks will be presented by Jeff Geisler, general manager of Rumbling Resort.

Chapman will present the benediction and bugler Patrick Bryant will present closing music.

After the program, breakfast will be served at Legend's Restaurant

Veterans and their spouses, please enjoy a complimentary meal. Other guests will pay $5 per person.

Everyone is encouraged to attend to join the Town of Lake Lure in thanking veterans for serving the country.
