Charles "Charlie" Powell, age 72, of Mooresboro, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2022.

Charlie was born April 6, 1950 in Gaffney, SC to the late George Powell and Ruth Isabell White Powell.

He was a self-employed painter who owned and operated Powell's Painting.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Roper; brother, Marvin Powell and sister, Carolyn Barrett.

Left to cherish fond memories include his sons Tony Powell (Catherine) and Timmy Powell (Lisa) all of Ellenboro; sister Betty Canipe of Shelby; brothers Jimmy Powell of Grover, Donald Powell (Cindy) of Crowder's Mountain, and Billy Powell (Carol) of Mooresboro, three grandchildren.

The funeral service was held September 22 at Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Johnny McCarty officiating.
