Charles Robert “Bob” Loper, age 78, of Spindale, passed away  Saturday, December 31, 2011. 

    He was born to the late Charles Carlton Loper and Mary Rhinehart Loper.

    Charles was a Vietnam veteran having served in the US Navy. Military rites will be accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.

    Charles is survived by his wife, Peggy Joanne Loper of the home, one daughter, Bobbie Jo Morris of Mooresboro, NC; two sons, Roby Loper of Mooresboro, NC and Charles “Chuck” Loper, II of San Antonio, TX; two brothers, Francis Loper of CA and Bill Loper of FL; two sisters, Shirley Nobbe  and Brenda Loper, both of Indiana. 

    Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

    Memorial services were held at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. 

        In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made to Harrelson Funeral Home to help defray funeral cost.

    Harrelson Funeral Home is serving the Loper family.
