PrintCharles William Hammill, 82, of Rutherfordton, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017.
A native of Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Charles and Helen Torpy Hammill. He was a US Army veteran and a retired electrical wireman.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Margie John Hammill of the home; daughter Susan Jacobs and husband Jeffrey of Chicago, IL; two grandsons; stepsons David John and Brian John; and cousin Annette Stover.
No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
Crowe's Mortuary is assisting the family.
