Charles William Truett, age 75, Rutherfordton, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2015.

Charles was a native of Cherokee County, NC and son of the late Dallas Elijah Truett and Annie Mae Hembrie Truett. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and attended Wilson Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife Etta Rogers Truett; children DeWayne Truett of Forest City, Keith Truett of Oak Island, NC and Elizabeth Ann “Libby” Truett of Forest City; brother Leroy Truett of Blacksburg, SC and a sister Lorene Clark of Crouse, NC; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Wilson Baptist Church with the Rev. Troy Dorsey, Rev. Wayne Toney and Rev. John Edwards officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
