Charlotte Herron Butler, age 73, of Forest City, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016.

Born on Sunday, April 4, 1943 in Bristol, Virginia, she was the daughter of late Archie Herron and Verda Dale Herron. Charlotte was a member of Providence United Methodist Church and was a servant to those she loved, helping family and friends in their time of need.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by a brother, Ricky Herron.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Donald Butler; two sons, Rodney Butler and wife Christy of Forest City, David Butler and wife Melanie of Forest City; one brother, Arthur Herron and wife Jane of Franklin, Tennessee; and one sister, Patricia Herron of Rutherfordton. She is also survived by five grandchildren; niece, Sara Borgeson and husband David of England; great-niece, Abby Borgeson and great-nephew, Wyatt Borgeson.

Funeral services were conducted at the Providence United Methodist Church with Reverend David Bradley officiating. Interment followed in Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery.
