Chimney Rock to host 7th Annual Flock to the Rock

Chimney Rock, an official site on the North Carolina Birding Trail, will host the 7th Annual Flock to the Rock Saturday, Sept. 19, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Events will include live birds of prey programs, bird walks by local experts, S.O.A.R. Birds in Flight shows and other special activities. The event coincides with the annual hawk migration. Chimney Rock is home to more than 130 species year-round, including warblers, vireos, tanagers, woodpeckers, thrushes, owls and birds of prey like the Peregrine Falcon.
