Chris Taylor, age 54, of Rutherfordton, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014.

Born October 4, 1959 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Nathan Buster Taylor and Vonnie Mullinax Taylor.  He served in the Army National Guard for several years and was a graduate of Fruitland Bible College. He owned and operated the Davis Donut Shop for many years and attended Forest City Foursquare Church. Chris was instrumental in the starting of Iglesias Bautista Cristo Vive in Spindale.

Survivors include his son, Kenny Taylor and wife, Ivey of Spartanburg, SC; sister, Dixie Burgess and husband, Gregg of Forest City; brother, Joe Taylor of Rutherfordton and 2 grandchildren, Alana Taylor and Natalie Taylor.  He is also survived by 3 nieces, Anna Burgess, Patti Burgess and Taylor Burgess.

A memorial service was conducted at Floyd’s Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Neil Perry officiating.
