Christopher Mark Gunter, age 59 of Union Mills, NC passed away Friday, February 17, 2023.

Mark was born and raised in Galax, VA. He graduated from Marion Senior High School and then served his country in the US Coast Guard.

He is a member of Southern Baptist Church and had a successful career as a salesman in the car industry, working with Charles Watkins and other dealerships.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 23 years, Sherry Walker Gunter. His children, Ashle Malone (Joey), Katie Gunter, Chandler Gunter; stepchildren, Heather Crawford, Blaire Crawford, Chelsey Croom (Kyle). He is also survived by his mother, Connie Gunter; one brother, Jeff Gunter and fourteen grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Rev. Glenn Gunter and sister, Kimberly Ann Davis.

A celebration of Mark's life was held February 25 at Southern Baptist Church with Rev. Peter Surran and Rev. Steve Waters officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Southern Baptist Church.
