Christopher Todd Somerset, 42

Christopher Todd Somerset, 42, of Forest City, NC, died August 12, 2021.

Born in Gaston County, NC, he was the son of the late Jerry Somerset and Carolyn Dougan Somerset. Christopher was a graduate of Independence High School, Charlotte, and also a graduate of Cleveland Community College paramedic program, previously worked as a paramedic for MEDIC in Charlotte and later worked for Rutherford County EMS after moving to Rutherford County. He also attended First United Methodist Church of Forest City and was a mason.

Survivors include his wife Keely McBrayer Somerset of the home; his mother and father-in-law, Macky and Jane McBrayer of Rutherfordton,; brothers-in-law, R. B. McBrayer and Hunter McBrayer, both of Rutherfordton; a nephew, Liam McBrayer; a niece, Norah McBrayer and a host of aunts and uncles.

Funeral services were held August 15, 2021 in the Padgett & King Chapel with Rev. J. Curtis Goforth officiating.
