Clarence Baxter Jolley, age 74

Clarence Baxter Jolley, age 74 of Cliffside, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, April 27, 2023.

He was born November 27, 1948 in Cleveland County, NC to the late George Oren Jolley and the late Margaret Hamrick Jolley. Baxter was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Mooresboro. He had worked at Hoechst Fiber in Shelby for five years, Cone Mills weave plant in Cliffside, for more than 25 years and lastly for the town of Boiling Spring for five years.

Baxter is survived by his wife Louise Jones Jolley, daughters Anne Jolley Espinoza and Amy Jolley Bracebridge and husband Charlie, six grandchildren, one great grandson.

The funeral was held April 30 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Hamrick officiating. Military honors were accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
