Cleofus "Buddy" Monroe Piercey, 85, passed away Monday, February 16, 2026.

He was born in Cleveland County, NC to the late C.O. Piercey and Gertrude Piercey. He is also predeceased by his wife, of 35 years, Dianne Piercey; son, Mike Piercey; daughter, Dian Piercey; grandson, Chris Crawley; brothers, Herman and James Piercey; sisters, Jessie, Sue, Patsy and Martha Piercey.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Tina McClellan (fiancée, Tracy Pearson); son, Doug Piercey; granddaughter, Sarah McClellan, Lisandra Piercey, Chastity Piercey Henson (husband, Josh Henson) and Cassidy Piercey; grandson, Chad Piercey (wife, Crystal Piercey); numerous nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Buddy was a member of Fork Creek Baptist Church where he was a Sunday School Superintendent for many years. He served in the United States Navy for four years from 1959 to 1963. He retired from being Supervisor at PPG Fiberglass over 30+ years.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12PM Saturday, March 7 at Fork Creek Baptist Church, 2741 Camp Creek Road, Union Mills, NC with Military Honors.
