Cleophus “Bub” Bailey, age 81, of Bostic, passed away Friday, December 5, 2014. 

A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Robert C. Bailey & Martha Bell Van Dyke Bailey, & was a shop technician for Burlington Industries at the J.C. Cowan Plant where he retired after 31 years.

Bub was a member of Concord Baptist Church where he formerly served as a deacon. He was an avid fisherman as well. Including his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Odessa Cole Bailey of the home, 3 sons, Chuck Bailey of Bostic, Butch Bailey of Ackworth, GA, & Michael Bailey of Bostic, 6 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Concord Baptist Church with the Reverend Travis Laflin & Reverend Aubrey Folk officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
