Clifford Billy Murphy, born to Ernest and Edna Searcy Murphy on November 19, 1927 passed away on April 15, 2019.

Survived by his wife of 67 years, Juanita Flynn Murphy, daughters Rebecca Murphy Robbins, husband Freddie, Myra Murphy Mize husband Stanley Mize (deceased), Denise Murphy Taylor, husband Timothy and two grandchildren, two brothers Reed Murphy, wife Lois and Berlon Murphy, wife Wanda, sister-in-law's, Betty Rogers, Shirley Parrish and husband Wayne, Betty Flynn, and numerous nephews, nieces, dear friends and neighbors.

Clifford served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Duke Power Company as Maintenance Manager retiring with 31 years' service. He served as the Chairman of the Board for Bills Creeks Fire Dept. Clifford loved the Lord and served for many years as Deacon in the church and served on various committees when called upon. His favorite past times were hunting and farming both of which a story and laughter always followed. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help with whatever the need. Family always came first and was very important to him.

The funeral was held at Bills Creek Baptist Church, Lake Lure. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Crowe's Mortuary and Crematory is serving the family.
