Coleen Stallings Johnson, 90
Staff Coleen Stallings Johnson, 90, of Forest City passed away Saturday, August 8, 2015. A native of Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Justice W. Stallings and Zennie McCurry Stallings and widow of the late Wade Johnson. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and ceramics. She was a member of Alexander United Methodist Church where she was very active and a lifetime member of United Methodist Women. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Vernon Stallings, and sisters, Ruth Stallings and Melba Robbins, and a nephew, Travis Greer. Survivors include her daughter, Patsy Johnson of Forest City; sisters, Lois Bostic of Shelby, NC and Brenda Brank of Charlotte, NC and a number of nieces and great nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held in the Alexander United Methodist Church with Reverend Dr. James L. Powell officiating. Interment followed in the Alexander Cemetery.
