Colfax Free Fair

The Ellenboro Elementary Colfax Free Fair continues through Saturday. This year marks the 86th year for the fair, and proceeds from the fair benefit the school. Over the years money raised by the fair has been used to purchase computers, software, library books, teacher resources and many other items, said Ellenboro Principal Bill Bass. There is a strong tradition associated with the fair, he said, which contributes to the events' success. The fair opens tonight at 6 p.m. and Friday at 5 p.m. Saturday is armband day from 1 to 5 p.m.
