Being Accepted Now Forest City Kiwanis Club Citizen of the Year Award Nominations now being accepted The award, given each year since 1935, recognizes individuals who demonstrate outstanding service, leadership & dedication to the community. Community members are encouraged to nominate deserving individuals who exemplify citizenship & who help make the community a better place to live & work. Nominations due July 3. Submit in paragraph form describing nominee's character, community involvement, leadership, and contributions to the community. Nominations can be mailed to Forest City Kiwanis Club PO Box 314 Forest City, NC 28043 or they can be given to any club member.

"Textures" exhibits pairings of photographs and pottery tied together by a dialogue that begins in color and finds an echo in texture: what is suggested on a flat surface becomes tangible in clay.
