Cooperative Extension held canning class

Rutherford County Cooperative Extension recently held an introduction to food preservation class. The class was offered before upcoming hands-on workshops that will focus on preserving different summer crops. Those in attendance learned about the science behind food preservation and received a packet of step-by-step instructions.
