Corbit Alan "Chino" Smith, age 60, of Bostic, passed away Friday, September 25, 2026.

He was born December 4, 1965 in Robeson County, to the late Rubin Smith and to Brenda Mercer Smith who resides in Lumberton. Alan was a graduate of Lumberton High School, class of 1983 and worked in commercial building construction most of his life. He was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica Nichole Smith; grandmother, Jesse Smith and a stepson, Darren Goforth.

Besides his mother, those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 30 years, Dianne Smith of Bostic; son, Bobby Smith of Lumberton; stepdaughter, Michelle Templin (Ray) of Rutherfordton; stepsons, Joshua Doty of Gaffney, SC and Matt Doty of Eufaula, AL; sister, Denise Davis (William) of Littlefield; grandkids, Kaylee Holt, Shea Dawson, Cheynne Bredick, Paitun Doty, Cole Templin; a nephew, two nieces.

The funeral was held October 1 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with Rev. Curtis Henson and Rev. Trent Jones officiating.
