Crayton Osborn Bland, 90

Crayton Osborn Bland, 90, of Spindale, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013. 

A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late J.O. and Lillie Mae Watson Bland. He was a US Army veteran of WWII, a retired loom fixer and a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church.

Crayton is survived by his son Stanley Bland and wife Wanda of Spindale; grandson John Bland and wife Rachel of Spindale; granddaughter Jessie Bland of Spindale; and great granddaughters Madison and Jordan of Spindale; sister Aileen McClain of Asheville and brother James Bland and wife Gloria of Spindale; ten nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Kiser Bland.

Funeral services were held at Mount Vernon Baptist Church with Dr. Scott Courtney and Rev. Richard Bass officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
