Cynthia Ann Herndon, age 79

Cynthia Ann Herndon, age 79, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2016.

Born September 13, 1936 in Boston, Massachusetts, she was a daughter to the late Peter Thomas Campbell and Ruth Prohaska Campbell. She received an earned Master's Degree from East Carolina University and worked for the U.S. Government as an Economics Analyst and retired from the State of North Carolina as a Vocational Evaluator. Cynthia was of the Catholic faith and an avid reader.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of twenty-eight years, Thomas C. Herndon; three brothers, Thomas Peter Campbell, Donald Campbell and Buddy Campbell.

She is survived by one son, T. Peter Herndon and daughter-in-law, Lisa Ryan-Herndon of Cary, NC.

At the request of Cynthia, no formal services are planned.
