Dannie L. Gettys, 75, of Forest City, NC, died December 31, 2021.

Born in Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Johnny Gettys and Addie McCombs Stacey. He worked in textiles for many years as a loom fixer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Gettys.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Head Gettys, of the home; son, Duane Gettys (LuAnn) and daughter Johnnie Rector (Chris), all of Rutherfordton, son, Jerry Gettys ( Frankie) of Caroleen; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

No formal services are planned.
