David "Bug" Taylor, age 75, of Cliffside, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

David was born May 10, 1951 in Cleveland County to the late Ralph W. Taylor and Willie Mae Waters Taylor. He worked as Stonecutter Mill and also Callaway Industrial Services in Mooresville for many years. David was a past member of Cliffside Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 35 years, Arlene Taylor; daughters, Bethany Greene of Forest City and Deidre Pearson of Shelby; son, Travis Taylor of Ellenboro; stepson, Tony Jones of Henrietta; sisters, Daphne Hampton of Ellenboro, Deborah Womack (Jim) of Cliffside, Dawn Greene of Boiling Springs, and 14 grandchildren.

A memorial service was held October 26 at Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ernie Cole officiating.
