David C. Trammel, age 86, husband of Ann Goode Trammel of Forest City, passed away Saturday August 4, 2018.

David was a native of Rutherford County. He was the son of the late Edgar and Margie Lee Wright Trammel, a retired textile employee, served his country in the Air Force during the Korean War and was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church. David was preceded in death by his brothers John and James and his sisters Hattie Baynard and Annie Haynes. In addition to his wife Ann, he leaves to cherish his memory a son Phillip Trammel and daughter in law Pam of Rutherfordton along with a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Dr. Scott Courtney officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery with military honors provided by the Rutherford County Veterans Honor Guard
