David Daniel Jones, II, age 52 of Forest City passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018.

David was born June 11, 1966 in Ashe County, NC and was the son of the late David Daniel and Barbara Lacey Jones. He grew up in Brevard, NC where he played football for Brevard High School. David also graduated from culinary school, and loved his dogs and Harley Davidson motorcycles. He also worked as a sales associate for Wal-Mart in Forest City.

Survivors include his three children, Eric Jones of Greensboro, Sidney Jones of Arlington, VA, and Suzanne Jones of Shelby; the mother of his children, Kristi Hogan Jones of Shelby, mother-in-law, Jackie Hogan Camp and husband Don of Forest City, sister and brother-in-law, Karol Hogan Wilson and Glen Wilson of Forest City, niece and nephews, Bella Wilson, Seth Wilson, and Jacob Wilson, his close friend, Ken Taylor and his Wal-Mart family.

A memorial service was held at The Padgett and King Chapel.

The Padgett and King Mortuary & Crematory is serving the family.
