David Owens, 83, of Forest City passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018.

Born in Blacksburg, he was the son of the late Robert and Eunice Wisher Owens. Mr. Owens previously worked in textiles and was of the Holiness faith.

Left to cherish David's memory are his sister, Mary M. Kisner, of Forest City, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Owens was preceded in death by two brothers, James R. Owens and Earnest M. Owens; a sister, Colleen O. Broom, and a special niece, Wanda S. Bowden.

Funeral services were held in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel, Blacksburg, SC. Interment followed at Oakland Cemetery. James Cash Jr, Ken Mullinax, Damien Ponder, Kathy Stapleton, Bobby Kisner, and Gloria Humphries served as pallbearers.

The Blacksburg location of Gordon Mortuary served the family.
