David Randall Nanney age 76 of Union Mills went home to be with The Lord on Tuesday August 12, 2014. A native of Rutherford County NC he was a former employee of Stonecutter Mill, a member of Round Hill Baptist Church and a member of The Hillbilly Tractor Pullers.

David was preceded in death by his parents David Jesse Nanney and Hettie Lane Nanney Church as well as a son Ricky William Nanney, step father Robert Church, and brothers Johnny and Ernest Nanney.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Louise Lewis Nanney of the home, one daughter Marie Young and husband Donald of Asheville, NC; one brother Raymond Nanney and wife Dianne; two sisters Mary Page Nanney and husband Lloyd and Faye Flynn and husband Hubert; grandchildren Don-Michael Young, Jeffery Nanney and Michael Church, three great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services were held at Round Hill Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Round Hill Baptist Church, 6611 Hudlow Road, Union Mills, NC 28167.
