Dennis Toney, age 84 passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2021.

A native of Rutherford County, Dennis is preceded in death by his wife, Janet Wray Toney; parents Clarence and Odessa Cumi Mull Toney; two brothers, Robert Toney and Wade Toney; three sisters, Catherine Melton, Carolynn Scruggs and Shirley Toney.

Dennis is survived by one sister, Vivian Champion and her husband John; one brother, Ben Toney and his wife Ann; a number of nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life was held at Rutherfordton First United Methodist Church.
