Diane Smith Hodge, age 62, of Forest City, passed away Monday, January 30, 2017.

Born in Cleveland County, she is the daughter of Donnis Jones Smith & the late Donald Smith. She worked for Watts Regulator in warehouse supervision & was a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church, Ellenboro. Diane enjoyed the Model "A" Club, loved horses &raised donkeys. She was very active in her church & was always willing to do what was asked of her with WMU, cleaning or any anything the church needed. Diane was very passionate about her grandchildren & family, & also never missed a day reading her bible.

Survivors include her husband, Jeff Hodge of the home; son, Toby Terry of Ellenboro; daughter, Christy Terry Fontenoy & husband John of Ellenboro; step-sons, Jeff Hodge & wife Jeap of Asheville, & Josh Hodge of Forest City; sisters, Connie Burgess & Helen Emery; & 6 grandchildren, She was also preceded in death by a brother, Richard Smith.

Funeral services were held in the Pilgrim Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Duncan officiating. Interment followed in the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, Rutherfordton. Memorials may be made to Pilgrim Baptist Church, P.O. Box 245, Ellenboro, NC 28040.
