Dock Sherman Jones, 95, of Bostic, went home peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, March 22, 2012. 

Funeral services were held at The A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel.

A native of Rutherford County, he was born on April 22, 1916, a son of the late Summy Duncan “Dunk” Jones and Ella Ruppe Jones. 

He was retired from Duke Power - Cliffside Plant. He was also the owner of Jones Used Farm Equipment. He was a member of Prospect Baptist Church and attended Chase Baptist Church. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Wonnie Greene Jones. He is survived by his son, Reece Jones and wife Sherry of Mooresboro; two grandchildren, Duane Jones of Gaffney and Derek Jones of Charlotte.
