Don Bailey, age 83 of Ellenboro passed away Sunday, May 30, 2021.

Don was born on April 16, 1938, in the Concord Community of Rutherford County and was a son of the late Farris Glen Bailey and Ruth Harrill Bailey. Don served in the N.C. National Guard

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Barbara S. Bailey of the home, his step-children, Denise Capaldo and husband Robert of Ellenboro, Michele Funderburke and husband Bill of Rutherfordton, and Edward Rizzo and wife Lillian of Phoenix, Arizona, his brother, Glen Bailey of Forest City as well as step-grandchildren, Dominique Capaldo, Robert Capaldo, III, Brittany Matney, Taylor Funderburke, Carter Rizzo, and Pierce Rizzo, and one great-grandchild.

The funeral service was held at Concord Baptist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
