Doris Hutchins Shires, 54, of Forest City, passed away on March 28, 2011. A graveside service was held at Bills Creek Baptist Church in Lake Lure.

Mrs. Shires was preceded in death by her father, Jolley Milues Hutchins.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Larry Shires; her mother, Pauline Conner Hutchins; four sons, Scott Shires of Spindale, Keith Shires and wife, Lora of Six Points, Joseph Shires and wife, Connie of Forest City and Ricky Shires of the home; two brothers, Roy Hutchins of Forest City and Roger Hutchins and wife, Cindy of Mooresboro.  She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.Harrelson Funeral Home is serving the family.
