Edith McDaniel Humphries, 84, of Taylors, S.C., passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2013. 

A native of Rutherford County, she was born on October 11, 1929, a daughter of the late Dewey and Minnie Bridges McDaniel. She was a retired bookkeeper and member of First Baptist Church of Greer, S.C. She enjoyed gardening and volunteering at the church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Marvin McDaniel and sister, Ruby White.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Humphries, Jr. and wife Pam of Travelers Rest, S.C. and Craig Humphries of Taylors, S.C.; two grandchildren, Preston Humphries of Nashville, TN and Jodi Humphries of Columbia, SC.

A graveside service was held at Cliffside Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Flemming officiating.
