Edna Ruth Yelton Mott, age 80 went home to be with The Lord Sunday, November 16, 2025.

A native of Rutherford County, Edna was a retired C.N.A. having worked in local healthcare. She was a member of Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church.

Edna is survived by one daughter, Karen Hudgins (Dale) of Bostic; one brother, Joe Yelton of Rutherfordton, one grandson, Nicholas Hudgins and fiancé Molly Hoyle of Bostic; one granddaughter, Brooke Hudgins of Bostic, and one great grandson, Grayson Hudgins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard "Gene" Mott, her father, Ernest Yelton, her mother, Jessie Hutchins Yelton, and four sisters, Josie Fish, Margie Sisk, Thelma Holland and Faye Wall.

A celebration of life was held November 19 at Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church with Rev. Chad Sisk officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Fair Haven Activities Funds, 830 Bethany Church Rd., Forest City NC 28043.
