Elizabeth “Liz” Limerick Freeman, born February 27, 1941 in Kingsport, TN passed away January 5, 2015. 

Liz made her home & raised her children in Ellenboro for over 45 years. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jackie Limerick Wilson, her mother Sarah Bethany Huffman, a brother Scott Bethany & a sister Ruth Bethany Ison.

Liz leaves behind her devoted husband of 36 years, Johnny A. Freeman her loving children, sons, Scott Limerick & wife, Kim of Brevard, Charlie Limerick & wife Jessica of Rutherfordton & Jonathan Perry Limerick of Forest City & a daughter, Melissa Limerick & partner in life Vicky Heatherly of Clyde; 2 step children Ronnie Freeman & wife Monica of Fort Hood, TX & Stacey Dodson & husband Jamey of Ellenboro. She also leaves behind 9 precious grandchildren; grandsons, Jordan Limerick & wife, Lindsey of Greensboro, Ian Limerick of Asheville & Aaron Limerick of Ellenboro, granddaughters, Sydney Limerick of Asheville, McKinsey Wilson of Shelby & Carmen Limerick of Brevard, 4 step grandchildren, Tyler, Leslie, Cherish & Ryan all of Ellenboro. Liz also leaves behind a sister, Brenda Bethany Darter & husband David of Gate City, VA & a sister-in-law Linda Freeman Roper & husband Rick of Ellenboro.

Liz was a member of Corinth Baptist Church where she loved serving her Lord & friends & neighbors often described as a saint by those who knew her. She had a gift for helping people & her life exemplified the term unconditional live.

The funeral service was held at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Conner & Rev. Ad Hopper officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
