Eugene F. Moore, age 74, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2012.
Eugene was born November 27, 1937 in Iredell County, NC to the late John L. Moore and Vera Hodge Moore. He was a veteran of the US Navy, having served on the USS Randolph as a firefighter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, James Moore. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Helen Cooper Moore; one daughter, Missy Landis and husband, John of Forest City; three sons, Ray E. Moore and wife, Cathy, Scott Moore and Tracy Moore all of Forest City; five grandchildren, He is also survived by his best friend, Paul Jones and a special friend, Dessie Hopper.
Funeral services were conducted at the Broad River Baptist Church. Military honors being rendered by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
