Eugene Hardin, age 81, of Rutherfordton, passed away Monday, April 12, 2021.

He was the son of the late Bob and Mary Scoggins Hardin and he was a native of Rutherford County. Eugene was a U.S. Army veteran and he served in South Korea, France, and Japan.

In addition to his parents, Eugene was preceded in death by, two sisters, O'lena Saine, and Virginia Russell and one brother, Carroll Hardin.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years: Linda Arrowood Hardin. One Daughter: Lorie Hardin Guffey, and husband Matt. One Son: Ken Hardin. Four Sisters: Selma McEntire, Shirley Cinquemano, Faye Armstrong, Theresa Mauney.

The funeral service was held at Fellowship Baptist Church. Interment followed at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery.
