Evelyn Taylor Simmons, 91, of Spindale, passed away April 20, 2012.
A native of Sampson County, she was the daughter of the late George Nelson and Minnie Philbeck Taylor. She was a retired LPN and a member of Brittain Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her son, Neal Simmons and wife Monette of Morganton; three grandchildren, Amy, David, and Melody Simmons, and two great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, G.E. Simmons and son Jack Lester Simmons.
Funeral services were held at Crowe’s Mortuary with Rev. Franklin Jones officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, POB 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
Crowe’s Mortuary is assisting the Family.
