   The Forest City Fury recently went to Cooperstown, NY with 12 players. 24 teams, from New York, California, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Texas, and all over the country played the week of August 5-12.  The Fury was the only North Carolina team in the series and were the only North Carolina team to make it to a championship game on August 11th. With an 8-1 record they lost the championship game 1-0 in the bottom of the 6th when California hit a walk off home run.
