Furman Howard “Bo” “Pop” Henson, Sr., 77, of Mooresboro, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2011.

    Funeral services were held at Goodes Creek Baptist Church.

    A native of Rutherford County, a son of the late Obe and Dezzie Hines Henson. He was a United States Army Veteran.

    In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Furman Henson, Jr. He is survived by one daughter, Barbara Henson Smith of Mooresboro; three brothers, Broughton Henson of Mooresboro, Alton Henson of Mooresboro and Jack Henson of Cowpens; two sisters, Frances Silvers of Mooresboro and Bobbie Harris of Forest City; one grandson, Brian Smith and wife Stephanie; one granddaughter, Christy Smith; two great grandchildren, Casey Bowen and Keira Smith.  

    Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, POB 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
