Gary Groves, 60, of Union Mills, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016.

A native of Fort Huachcua, Arizona, he was the son of William Howard Groves and the late Maxine Barnes Groves. He was a mail carrier and a US Air Force veteran.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Pamela Jean Ragsdale Groves; daughter, Jacqueline Groves; son, Ashdon Stanfield Groves; stepdaughter Tina Hinojosa; four grandchildren; brother, Jeff Groves; sisters, Stephanie Sutay and Cheryl Adams.

Memorial services were held at Green Hill Baptist Church with Rev. John Bridges officiating. Military honors were provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. Burial was held at WNC Veterans cemetery in Black Mountain.

Crowe's Mortuary is serving the family.
