Gary Wayne Hamrick, age 65, of Spindale, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014. 

   A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Farris & Bobbi Bone Hamrick & retired from N.C. Highway Patrol.

   Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Linda Griffin Harton of Forest City; daughters, Amy Bland & husband Clint of Ellenboro, Holly Hamrick of Spindale & Taylor Hamrick of Marion; 3 grandchildren, Carson Bland, Abby Bland & Griffin Bland of Ellenboro.

Funeral services were held at Crowe’s Mortuary with Dr. Bobby Gantt officiating. Interment followed in Eternal Hills Memorial Park with honors accorded by the NC Highway Patrol. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Florence Baptist Church, 201 S. Broadway, Forest City, NC 28043.
