George Olewine, Jr., age 62, of Forest City, passed away Monday, December 4, 2023.

George was born January 12, 1961 in Lackawanna, New York. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy and worked for the New York Department of Transportation for many years before relocating to North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Olewine, Sr.

Those left to treasure his memory are his mother, Mary Olewine; life companion, Maria DeJesus; his daughters, Candi Olewine, Stephanie Olewine and Amber Snyder; sisters, Lisa and Tammy; fifteen grandchildren, stepdaughters, Gina Acosta, Christina Acosta and Jessica Acosta.

In honor of his wishes, no formal services will be conducted.
