PrintGeorge William "Billy" Medford, age 72 of Spindale, NC, passed away December 27, 2022.
He was born September 9, 1950 in Rutherford County to the late Ruth Ann Medford. George retired from Cone Mills Corporation Florence Plant in Forest City and was a member of Spencer Baptist Church in Spindale.
He is survived by his aunt Jo Medford.
In addition to his mother, George was preceded in death by his grandparents George and Carrie Medford and his uncle Cleophus T. Medford.
The funeral service was held January 1 at Spencer Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Caldwell and Rev. Neil Murray officiating.
